LMPC Social Night

As the end of the photographic season looms, LMPC will be having a social night. This will be a celebration of a very successful launch, a huge thanks to our members for their continued support, and a chance for us to let our hair down and get to know the personalities behind the lenses.

LMPC started life in late 2021 and the brain child of John Dudley, our founder and Chair. The chaos COVID created meant the club didn’t have its first meeting until February 2022. Having a stable membership of regulars who are committed to engaging with the club, including homework’s, competitions, and social opportunities has made the wait worthwhile.

The LMPC social night includes food, entertainment, and exciting ideas for the summer. We will return in September with new ideas in the programme. If you’re a member and want to donate some party food, add your name to the spreadsheet. Feel free to add anything you’d like that is not already on the list. Also, don’t forget to add in any allergies or dietary needs so we can try and accommodate everyone.

Club meeting #11 – practical evening

The meeting on 21st June will involve a group based walk and shoot to Llantwit beach.

For folks who dont wish to walk then they can meet us at the beach around 7.30-7.45pm.

Club meeting #9 is on Tuesday 24th May at 7pm in Llantwit Town Hall. Main event for the evening is Ed Cloutman covering ”The Night Sky”. New people to the club are very welcome and you get a “try it before you buy it” initial night. See you there.

Club meeting #5 – 29/3/22

A reminder that club meeting #5 is on Tuesday 29/3/22. It is at 7pm at the Llantwit Major town hall building.
We will have our usual homework and skills sessions.
We will also be looking at the results of our survey, be launching our first competition, and also run a fun session looking at typical photography gadgets that one might have in their camera bag.

Upcoming practical evening 15/3/22

A reminder that we have our first practical evening on 15th March 2022. Bring your camera and easily transportable equipment (so tripods are fine, not your full darkroom!).

We will get the opportunity to practice in a safe environment with your cameras and build on the skills and homework so far including Aperture, Shutter speed, ISO. We will also be able to practice with some portraiture.

We are looking forward to it.
